Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement Course

The Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement is designed for mariners seeking authorization to operate inspected sailing vessels carrying more than six passengers for hire. To enroll, candidates must either hold a Master’s License or have successfully completed an approved Master’s Upgrade program.

This course is structured around five key modules—Sail Theory and History, Physics of Sailing, Rules of the Road, Man Overboard, and Sailing Terminology—providing the essential knowledge and seamanship skills required for safe and compliant sail operations. Successful completion of this endorsement is a mandatory step for any licensed captain intending to operate sailing vessels for hire.

Our Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement Class is for Captains with a Masters License who are operating an inspected Auxiliary Sailing Vessel.
The cost for this endorsement class is $275.  It is a single 4 Hour online class.

Schedule: November 8th, 2025 – 9AM to 1PM – Testing is done online at your convenience within 6 Months of conclusion of the course.
